Simone Spencer

Simone joined Synergy Global in 2014 as a Team Leader & brings with her over 30yrs experience from her primarily customer focused roles in Small & Medium Enterprises (SMEs). Her exceptional interpersonal skills, combined with a strong passion to help people achieve their ambitions & be the best they can be, is why she was approached by our CEO to join our dynamic team.

Having successfully completed VCE in 1983, Simone was first employed by prestigious Stockbroking firm McIntosh Hamson Hoare Govett as a Receptionist, where her primary role was to greet & liaise with the most prominent members of their financial sector. With her passion, determination & encouragement from management, Simone enrolled to study in a Specialist Foreign Exchange Course with ASIC with a view to becoming a Foreign Dealer with the group, & eventually transferred to the London based office. However, the 1987 Stock Market crash had a devastating effect on the industry, & with many redundancies resulting, the opportunity for promotion at this time evaporated, she was then approached to manage a new florist shop in Toorak, Melbourne, VIC. This was the beginning of her 25yrs experience in SME management & ownership. During this period, she owned 5 different shops in Melbourne, all of which she started from ‘scratch’ & built into successful businesses. Simone managed multiple businesses with passion & enthusiasm - it gave her the opportunity to utilise & develop her exceptional interpersonal skills. Managing up to 6 staff, Simone’s roles were varied abd included everything from floral design, consultation with clients, procurement, customer service, staff training, staff motivation, conflict resolution, course development, roll-out, business administration & compliance.

Simone loves travel & successfully applied to join Flight Centre Limited in 2000, where she gained qualifications as an International Travel Consultant & further developed her interpersonal skills with clients she met whilst planning holidays.

In 2011, Simone was presented with the opportunity to work with a Project Engineering Company,Wenden Project Management. Initially engaged as Business Development Manager for VIC & TAS, this role enabled her to introduce Wenden to many engineering managers plus the ‘Top 500’ companies in AUS & NZ. Over time, the role developed to include HR/OD, Business Admin & acting as PA to the CEO. Simone was also trained as an Accounts Manager.

black Marketing Synergy Global across Asia Pacific Region from Melbourne, AUS (supporting sub-teams)
black Developing SME services & adapting Workshops, Tools & Resources to meet specific client needs
black Using Mentoring & Coaching skills to support development of our Effectiveness Interns Team (EIT)

Amongst her hobbies, Simone enjoys the spending time outdoors, camping, tennis, attending operas, theatre & the ballet. She has a keen interest in helping others & has been involved with assisting various charity organisations in a ‘hands-on’ manner as time permits. She is also actively involved in her son’s school, being Class Representative for 2014, a member of the Junior Parents Fundraising Committee & attending excursions when the opportunities present.
