Dr Malcolm Fraser joined Synergy Global as Team Leader – USA & Canada in 2013. Prior to starting his own business, Malcolm had over 25 years’ experience working in the corporate world & as a contractor. He began his career at Allstate Insurance, where he designed courses & began his experience as a Leadership Trainer. Malcolm then spent 14yrs at Motorola University, helping to build the world-renowned Education Center. At Motorola, Malcolm had his first OD assignment, in which he led development of a performance managemeannt system later adopted throughout the company.
In the past 15yrs, Malcolm has gained experience in a variety of OD role across multiple industries, including Professional Services (Right Management Consultants), Manufacturing (General Binding Corp. & Case New Holland), & Health (CVS Caremark). These roles included a growing focus on talent management & leadership development. He's also provided OD & Change Consulting to a major Chicago-area Hospital, Walgreens, & State Farm Insurance.
Malcolm is known for his collaborative & relationship-focused style, which allows him to quickly establish rapport with Executives & leaders at all levels. He is skilled at determining needs & cutting to the heart of a performance problem, showing the link between business needs & people development challenges. Malcolm has superior facilitation skills, & is known for his ability to lead groups to the place they needed to go. He has facilitated Executive/C Level workshops & won awards for presentations to groups of 200+ people.
He is also qualified as a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (insurance industry designation); Certified as a Six Sigma Green Belt; Certified in Benchmarks’ 360° Tool, Center for Creative Leadership; & also Certified in using ODR Change Leadership Tools & Methodologies.
Malcolm is a Board Member of the Chicago Chapter of the OD Network; an active participant in the Human Resource Management Association of Chicago (HRMAC), & the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). He has taught for the MBA program at St. Xavier University, & had articles published in the Journal of the Human Resource Planning Society.
