Heather-Jane created Synergy Global in 1996, after a successful career in the NHS (UK). She began as an RN & led effective change as an Exec Director, CEO & Senior Policy Analyst/Strategic Planner. As the only female Director of King’s College Hospital, she led Clinical Care, Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) & Corporate Communications, whilst championing Diversity, Health Promotion, Governance & Risk, Systems Thinking & Process Improvement for more patient-centred cultural change in the context of a VUCA World. Hospitals, like most organisations are highly political & complex eco-systems that require sensitive Consulting, Facilitation & Exec. Coaching… & why she’s selected for APSC/VPSC SES, CSIRO & TEQSA & TEQSA Executive Coaching to Band 3.

Awarded a Harkness Fellowship for exceptional achievement in the field of health/social care, organisational development & change leadership, she was based @ the Haas Business School, UC Berkeley USA, where she researched Values-based Leadership & Cultural Change, working as an OD Consultant to Fortune 100 firms/networks across USA. She has been honoured as a Visiting Scholar & Lecturer at UC Berkeley, Cornell, Stanford & Harvard Universities USA. She also won a Churchill Fellowship, researching the development of Successful Virtual Teams (UK/AUS/NZ). As an author, she enjoys speaking on a variety of topics & remains a passionate change catalyst for sustainable business practices.She has also received awards for leadership & creativity/innovation from the RCN & NHS Executive UK, the EU Institute of Health Management, Mercury Communications, NatWest Bank, & Walt Disney World, USA.

Heather-Jane has worked in Public Health as the Chief Executive of the National Sports Medicine Institute a NfP which promotes safer exercise – from local participants to elite athletes. As part of this role she also managed the largest Sports Medicine Library in the EU; Corporate Governance; & contributed to London’s successful Olympic bid (2012).

Whilst she’s a generalist, for the last 30yrs she’s focused on Values-based Leadership & Cultural Change – engaging & motivating teams to bring alive organisational values behaviourally. This means an evidence-based & more sustainable approach – co-created with key stakeholders – making effective use of limited energy, time, & resources. As CEO she’s accountable for Program Design, Corporate Governance, Quality Improvement & Strategic Integration, ensuring all projects add value, with meaningful metrics to prove Return on Investment (RoI), plus great client service.

She has Dual Citizenship (EU/AUS) & lives in VIC, AUS. She’s an Ex-Director International Coach Federation (ICF) at State/National/International level; & Board Director of WIAL AUS. As a qualified ICF Peer Mentor Coach/Professional Supervisor she runs a successful mentoring program for Masters’ Students, to help them to become more employable.
She is a passionate sustainability/climate activist & helps to lead the Climate Coaching Alliance (CCA) for AUS/NZ – she is also an experienced Ikigai Coach living her values-based vision of leveraging wisdom to make the world a better place…
Heather-Jane loves nature walks, golf, diving, skiing, music, travel & The Arts, especially opera, ballet & sculpture.
