Heather-Jane created Synergy Global in 1996, after a successful career in the NHS (UK). She began as an RN & led effective change as an Executive Director, CEO & Senior Policy Analyst/Strategic Planner. As a main Board Director of King’s College Hospital (Nursing, Quality and Corporate Comms), she championed System/Process Improvement & led cultural change towards Valuing Diversity and Inclusion, Health Promotion, Clinical Governance & Risk Management.
She was awarded a Harkness Fellowship for exceptional achievement in the field of health/social care, organisational development & change leadership. Based at the Haas Business School, UC Berkeley, CA, USA she researched Values-based Leadership & Cultural Change, working as an OD Consultant to a range of Fortune 100 orgs across the USA.
In 1999 she was honoured with Visiting Scholar status at UC Berkeley & won a Churchill Fellowship, researching into the development of Successful Virtual Teams in the UK, NZ & AUS. As a published author, Heather-Jane enjoys speaking on a variety of topics & remains a passionate campaigner for health, education & Make Poverty History. She has received a variety of awards for leadership & creativity/innovation from the Royal College of Nursing, the European Institute of Health Service Managers, Mercury Communications, NatWest Bank, UK & Walt Disney World, USA.

Heather-Jane has also worked in Public Health, as CEO, National Sports Medicine Institute which promotes safer sport/exercise, from local participants to elite athletes. As part of this role she also managed a large Sports Medicine Library; Governance and contributed to London’s successful bid for the Olympics (2012).
She’s now focuses on Values-based Leadership & Cultural Change – engaging & motivating teams to bringing values alive behaviourally - a sustainable approach, making effective use of energy & time. As a CEO, she has a long-standing passion for strategic integration, ensuring SG adds value, with meaningful metrics & service for Return on Investment (ROI).
