Holly Smith (Ragland) joined our Asia Pacific Team in May 2012, as Team Leader - Small & Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs). She was born & educated in the USA. She was a winner of the National Merit Scholarship as well as a Marine Corps ROTC Scholarship & attended Boston University as a member of the Marine Corps Reserves. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BA in Communication, then continued her education in Melbourne, studying Professional Writing & Editing at Deakin University. She began her career in AUS as a freelance journalist, editor, & web designer, but was quickly approached by one of the adult education centres in Melbourne to teach a number of their small business courses. Thus she began her specialty in communication in the business world, teaching small-to-medium-sized business owners, & then, increasingly, managers & executives in the corporate world, how to improve internal & external communication.
For 12 years Holly has trained & consulted in organisations of all sizes & in a variety of industries, around the themes of self-awareness, improving personal performance, & effective management/leadership. Holly’s outstanding success with helping individuals, teams & organisations, comes from her focus on the experience of the participant. She has a high-energy & inspiring style that ensures that coaching clients & course participants really enjoy the process of learning.

Recently Holly has specialised in working across multiple teams in organisations, multiplying benefits for the business by strategically integrating results. For example, in a project with a boutique architectural firm, Holly coached & trained a new sales team to improve their effectiveness, while at the same time coaching the Business Owner/Director & the Production Manager in the area of leadership skills. In the time that Holly worked with this business, they increased their turnover by 300%, while improving staff engagement, their business systems & working less overtime. The Production Manager is now well positioned to become a Director of the company & the team continues to go from strength to strength.
